In vitro(体外研究)

AMI-5 has been identified as a competitive inhibitor of SAM binding and had been shown to inhibit not only PRMTs but also lysine methylation by the Set7 and disruptor of telomeric silencing 1-like (DOT1L) MTases in vitro. Both AMI-5 and its analog AMI-1 have been used as lead compounds for the development of novel MTase-specific inhibitors. Moreover, it was found that AMI-5 could inhibit Set7 in vitro and decrease H3K4m1 in vascular endothelial cells.
