小G蛋白（Small G-Protein）是一类分子量只有20-30KDa的小蛋白分子，目前发现的小G蛋白包括Rho, Rac, Cdc42, Ras, Ral，Arf等。小G蛋白具有GTP酶活性，在多种细胞反应中有开关作用，参与细胞信号通路，也可调节一系列细胞活动，包括分泌活动和细胞骨架的装配等。因此研究小G蛋白的活性调控机制具有广泛而深远的生物学意义。
